Religious School
At Temple Beth El, our Religious School curriculum is based upon the principles of Reform Judaism, and weaves together three major threads of study:
- Religious and Spiritual Education (including Bible, Hebrew,
prayer, rituals, customs and holidays)
- Jewish Identity (including Jewish history and communities,
Israel, genealogy and Hebrew)
- Jewish Values (including tzedakah and tikkun olam, or
making
the world a better place)
We encourage parents to take an active part in the Jewish life of their children, at school as well as at home. Our Family Education programs and classes are part of every grade level, allowing our grandparents, parents and children to expand their Jewish knowledge and level of observance together. Many of our holiday celebrations revolve around an experiential approach, and students also have the opportunity to participate in library, music and art enrichment.
