a soulful place for friends, fun, and
becoming the leader you were meant to be.

A SUPPORTIVE PLACE TO BE WHO YOU ARE
BESTY’s primary value is that you feel like you can be yourself at all of our events while developing bonds and strengthening friendships with other Jewish teens. We know that in high school, there is a pressure to try to fit in and to be liked. Our teen leadership board, youth directors, and clergy team are deeply committed to creating an inclusive space where your unique presence and contribution is appreciated.

A SOULFUL PLACE
The synagogue community provides a unique opportunity and place to explore what is meaningful and important in life. Our BESTY teen leadership board selected topics of interest to our teen community to explore with our rabbis and cantor. Our Shabbat Club experiences in our youth lounge and at members’ homes are warm environments for welcoming Shabbat together with song, food, and celebration.

A FUN PLACE
The BESTY teen leadership board organized a fun-filled year of diverse activities to enjoy together. In addition to our monthly Sunday program be prepared for:

  • Weeknight study sessions in our youth lounge
  •  Broomball overnights
  • Professional sport outings
  • Yogurt and a Movie
  • Our infamous Club night
  • Anything our youth leadership board can dream up

A PLACE FOR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
From the Temple Beth El community perspective, teens have an important contribution to make to our synagogue community and the wide world. Our teen programming offers much more than a place only to socialize and “hang out.” BESTY is unique in that our core programming fulfills middle and high school community service requirements. In both the 8th Grade Tzedakah Board and 9th-12th Grade Teen Leadership Program, teens learn the skills necessary to transform vision into action, supported by the wisdom of our Jewish tradition.

COST: $428 ($415 if paying with cash or check)

8th Grade Tzedakah Board

Registration Cost: $752 (does not include $100 donation due on 1st day of program) or $730 if paying with cash/check

I look forward to an forging a deeper connection with you and your teen.
Blessings,
Rabbi K’vod
